About me

Hi there! I’m Anitta, and I’m so glad you found your way to my little corner of the kitchen.

I’m 29, born and raised in a cozy suburb just outside Austin, Texas, where the kitchen was always the heart of the home. I didn’t grow up with fancy food or five-star chefs on TV. I grew up with pots simmering on the stove, laughter over the dinner table, and my mom teaching me how to make biscuits from scratch even when money was tight.

I still remember the first real dish I ever made it was a creamy chicken casserole for my dad’s birthday. It wasn’t perfect, and I completely forgot the salt, but he smiled like it was the best thing he’d ever eaten. That moment stuck with me. I realized that food doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. It just has to be made with love.

Over the years, cooking became my escape, my creative outlet, and honestly, my therapy. But I also learned how tough it is to cook when life gets busy. Between working full-time, trying to keep up with errands, and just being human, it’s easy to fall into the takeout trap. I’ve been there. And I still go there sometimes (no shame in a good pizza night!).

That’s why I started sharing my recipes with people like you in mind. Folks who want to eat well without spending hours in the kitchen. People who crave real flavor, comforting food, and simple wins. My recipes are quick, practical, and tested in a real-life kitchen with dishes in the sink and music playing in the background.

I don’t believe in food rules. I believe in flexibility, experimenting with what you have, and not being afraid to mess up a little. Some of my best recipes came from “happy accidents” and last-minute substitutions. And I always say: if it tastes good and brings people together, you’ve done something beautiful.

So whether you’re a home cook, a food lover looking for something fresh, or just someone trying to get dinner on the table before 8pm I’m here for you. Thank you for being here with me. Now let’s get cooking and make something we’re proud of (even if it’s just a grilled cheese with attitude).

Warmly,
Anitta
